Welcome to SideQuest World Tours, operated by Brenden Daynell Hooks ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). These Booking Conditions are applicable to all SideQuest World Tours departing on or after February 1, 2025. As such, these terms and conditions govern the provision of all our tours, events, and services provided by us and facilitated by our partnership with Outside Agents, referred to hereafter collectively as "Services."
1. Booking Your Tour

While SideQuest strives to ensure the accuracy of all publications, it cannot be held responsible for typographical or printing errors, including those related to pricing. All promotions and discounts are subject to the specific terms outlined for those offers.
Travelers may qualify for a one-time price adjustment if they find an identical tour (same date and gateway, if applicable) offered at a lower price within 60 days of their initial enrollment, excluding any re-bookings. This price adjustment applies solely to the base price of the tour and does not include additional costs such as airfare, upgrades, or optional extras. No price adjustments will be granted once the trip is within 99 days of the scheduled departure date.
5. Group Tours
SideQuest World Tours are designed for adventurous 18 to 35-year-olds, reflecting the pacing, accommodations, activities, and other elements tailored to this demographic. SideQuest is committed to keeping travel affordable without compromising on the experience. To manage costs effectively, travel groups are sized to optimize transportation and guide expenses. This often involves organizing individuals and small groups into larger units to cover the costs of public transportation, guides, etc. As such, flexibility in booking, departure planning, and tour operation is essential.
In the event of low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances, SideQuest reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a tour. Should this occur, we will endeavor to offer a comparable tour and/or departure date. If no suitable alternatives are available, you are entitled to a full refund of all monies paid.
SideQuest also reserves the right to amend your itinerary prior to departure and while on tour due to improvements or unforeseen circumstances that necessitate changes. These changes may include, but are not limited to, local or national holidays, special events, capacity restrictions, severe weather, road closures, or government orders. Efforts will be made to minimize inconvenience, and adjustments may include altering the order of cities visited, changing the duration of stays, or using alternative transport methods such as different public transportation routes or airports.
On days when historical sites, museums, or other attractions have limited access due to holidays or special events, we will strive to substitute comparable activities. It is advisable to verify with national tourist organizations regarding potential closures or restrictions when selecting your tour and travel date.
Should you decide not to travel due to a modified itinerary, you will be subject to SideQuest’s Standard Cancellation Policy. Requests to change the date or destination of your tour due to itinerary modifications must be made at least 60 days before departure. Changes requested after this period may incur additional fees and may not be accommodated.
6. Health and Tour Expectations
SideQuest World Tours designs its itineraries to be accessible to a broad range of travelers, but it's important to choose a tour that aligns with your physical capabilities. Many of our tours involve considerable walking and may include challenges for those with disabilities or limited mobility. For instance, historical sites often require navigation by foot, including stairs and steep paths. Public transportation routes and facilities abroad may not always accommodate special equipment, and accessibility services like those mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act in the U.S. are not universally available.
Due to these constraints, we ask that you inform us of any physical limitations or disabilities before booking your tour. This ensures we can advise you properly on the suitability of your chosen itinerary. SideQuest is committed to assisting all travelers in finding a tour experience that meets their needs, and we strive to facilitate reasonable accommodations wherever possible.
Behavior Expectations:
SideQuest promotes a respectful and safe travel environment. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment, or aggressive behavior. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Offensive language or conduct based on age, race, ethnicity, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, military status, marital status, physical or mental disability, gender, sexual orientation, or native language.
-
Inappropriate or abusive behavior, such as unwanted physical contact, harassment, threats of violence, or actual violence.
-
Bullying or any other behavior that disrupts the harmony and safety of the tour group.
Participants found engaging in such behavior will be subject to immediate dismissal from the tour at their own expense, without refund, and may be banned from future SideQuest tours.
Our commitment is to provide an inclusive and welcoming experience for all travelers, ensuring a memorable and enriching journey with SideQuest World Tours.
7. Changes After Enrollment
Once you have completed your enrollment with SideQuest World Tours, it is crucial to verify that your full passport name, date of birth, and sex on your online account accurately reflect those on your passport. If any updates or corrections are needed, you must inform SideQuest World Tours at least 99 days before your scheduled departure. Failure to ensure this accuracy may result in additional airline fees, or even denial of boarding at the airport if your ticket details do not match your passport exactly.
Corrections and Modifications:
-
If corrections to match your passport details are needed within 99 days of departure, changing your flight reservation may be necessary, incurring a minimum service fee of $100, and potentially up to the cost of a new fare if airline ticket prices have increased.
-
Any such changes may also lead to a different flight itinerary than initially booked, which may differ from the itineraries of others in your travel group.
Rebooking Requests:
-
If you wish to change the date, origin airport, or destination of your tour, please submit your request in writing to SideQuest World Tours at least 99 days prior to your originally scheduled departure. All rebooking requests are subject to availability and approval.
-
A non-refundable rebooking fee of $100 will apply upon approval of your request. Your account will then be updated to reflect the new tour details and current pricing.
-
Promotions or discounts from the original booking will not transfer to the new booking.
-
You are responsible for the full balance of the updated account, and any subsequent cancellations will be subject to our Standard Cancellation Policy, which may impose higher fees based on the new or original tour's scheduled departure date.
Travel Season:
-
Our defined travel season runs from October 1st to September 30th. This period aligns with our operational planning and reflects typical travel patterns, helping ensure that we offer the best possible experiences to our travelers.
8. Travel Insurance
While SideQuest World Tours does not directly offer a travel protection plan, we highly recommend that you consider securing travel insurance to protect your investment from unexpected circumstances. Travel insurance can provide coverage for a variety of situations including medical expenses while on tour, tour cancellation due to serious injury or illness, or financial hardship such as job loss.
Recommended Steps:
-
Research and Compare: We suggest researching and comparing different travel insurance plans that cater to international travelers. Look for plans that cover both pre-departure cancellations and post-departure emergencies.
-
Consider Comprehensive Coverage: Choose a policy that offers comprehensive benefits, including but not limited to emergency medical coverage, trip cancellation and interruption, baggage protection, and travel delays.
-
Review Policy Details: Before purchasing any travel insurance, ensure you fully understand the limits, terms, exclusions, and requirements of the policy. Confirm that the policy matches your needs and covers the destinations included in your SideQuest tour.
-
Third-Party Providers: For your convenience, we have partnered with several reputable travel insurance providers. You can access information and direct links to their services on our website. Although we facilitate access to these insurance options, please note that all contractual relationships, claims, and communications regarding insurance are between you and the chosen insurance provider.
Once you have purchased travel insurance, keep a copy of your policy and any relevant contact information accessible throughout your trip. It is essential to understand when and how to file a claim should you need to use your travel insurance.
For more information on recommended travel insurance providers or to discuss how travel insurance can cover specific aspects of your trip with SideQuest, please contact us at team@sidequests.world.
9. Late Enrollments
Enrolling in a SideQuest World Tours trip 99 days or fewer prior to departure may result in additional costs. This is due to the expedited nature of securing reservations with airlines, hotels, and other service providers at short notice. Your reservation status will be considered pending until we can confirm availability.
-
Confirmation of Reservation: If we successfully secure a spot for you on the tour, you will be notified that your reservation is complete. Once confirmed, the Standard Cancellation Policy will apply (refer to sections on Cancellations and Modifications and Payment Plans for detailed guidelines and payment schedules).
-
Additional Costs: Should securing your reservation incur extra charges due to last-minute bookings with airlines or other suppliers, a SideQuest representative will contact you to discuss your options. You will have the opportunity to accept these additional costs or to decline.
-
Cancellation of Pending Reservation:
-
If you choose not to accept the additional fees, or if we are unable to secure a place for you on the tour, you will receive a full refund, and your pending reservation will be canceled.
-
Bookings made 30 days or less before the departure date require full payment at the time of booking. For these bookings, the Standard Cancellation Policy applies immediately upon confirmation. Additionally, bookings made this close to the departure date are not eligible for the 48-hour risk-free cancellation period.
-
Please note, it is essential to ensure your availability and willingness to meet potential additional costs when booking close to the departure date. We strive to accommodate all travelers but must adhere to the constraints imposed by late bookings. For more information or to discuss late enrollment options, please contact our customer service team.
11. Entry Requirements
Each traveler is solely responsible for securing and verifying all necessary travel documents before departure. This includes a valid passport, applicable visas, and any other required travel documents as well as meeting the entry and exit requirements for each destination included in the tour itinerary, as well as any countries visited in transit.
Key Requirements:
-
Passports: All U.S. passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the return date of the tour. Travelers with non-U.S. passports should verify passport requirements with the embassies or consulates of the destination countries.
-
Visas and Other Entry Requirements: Depending on your itinerary and citizenship, you may need visas or other entry permits. It is crucial to check specific visa requirements based on your citizenship and the countries you will visit.
-
Health and Safety Documentation: This may include required medical documents, testing results, or proof of vaccinations, such as COVID-19 vaccination status. Ensure you are aware of and comply with health entry requirements which can vary significantly between destinations.
For detailed and up-to-date information on travel documents and entry requirements, we recommend visiting the U.S. Department of State’s travel website at www.travel.state.gov. This site provides comprehensive information about passport validity, visa requirements, and other travel advisories.
Failure to obtain necessary travel documents or to meet entry or exit requirements may prevent you from being allowed to board at the point of departure or enter a destination country. In such cases, SideQuest World Tours’ Standard Cancellation Policy will apply. Travelers will be responsible for any incurred expenses resulting from non-compliance with travel documentation and entry requirement regulations.
It is your responsibility to ensure all travel documentation and entry requirements are met. We recommend beginning this process well in advance of the travel date to avoid any last-minute issues that could impact your ability to participate in the tour.
11. Flight Information
For customers who choose to book flights through SideQuest World Tours:
-
Routing and Airlines: We strive to provide the most direct route to your destination whenever possible. To offer the best value, some routes may involve layovers or multiple segments, and we cannot guarantee non-stop or direct flights. Additionally, seat assignments are controlled by the airline and are typically provided at check-in.
-
Baggage Fees: You are responsible for any baggage fees imposed by the airline.
-
Group Bookings: While we make every effort to keep groups together, we cannot guarantee that you and your companions will travel on the same flights due to the dynamic nature of airline bookings.
-
Flight Changes: Once ticketed, any changes to your flight details, including but not limited to name corrections, gateway changes, or routing preferences, may incur fees ranging from $300 to the full cost of a new published fare, depending on airline policies.
-
Travel on Itinerary: You must travel on all scheduled segments of your itinerary. Failure to board any portion may result in the automatic cancellation of all subsequent flights.
-
Multiple Gateways: Unlike many traditional travel companies, SideQuest allows departure from and return to different gateways to accommodate your travel needs. However, this flexibility might result in additional costs depending on the flight options available.
-
Airlines' Conditions: SideQuest is not responsible for changes in flight schedules, strikes, cancellations, or delays imposed by airlines. In such cases, it is your responsibility to coordinate with the airline for rebooking. SideQuest will assist where possible but cannot guarantee recovery of any missed tour elements due to airline delays or cancellations.
-
Missed Flights: If airline issues cause you to miss tour components, SideQuest is not liable for refunds or compensation related to missed accommodations, meals, or planned activities.
-
For customers who purchase 'land only' packages from SideQuest:
-
Own Arrangements: You are responsible for making your own flight arrangements. Ensure your arrival and departure times align with the tour schedule to connect smoothly with planned activities.
-
Airport Transfers: Transfers to and from the destination airport are included only for travelers who book flights through SideQuest. If you book your flights independently, you must manage your transportation to meet the tour group.
-
Self-Booked Flights: If you choose to book your own flights, we recommend not finalizing arrangements until your tour has been confirmed, typically 60 days before departure, to avoid potential change or cancellation fees should tour details adjust.
Your flight itinerary and e-ticket information will be made available in your SideQuest World Tours account 30 days prior to departure, provided your account is paid in full and you have agreed to our Booking Conditions.
Flights to and from the following destinations may originate/end at any of the airports in that vicinity. On occasion, you may be booked on a flight itinerary returning to a different airport than the one you departed from.
-
New York: JFK, Newark or LaGuardia
-
Washington, D.C./Baltimore: BWI, Dulles or Ronald Reagan National
-
Miami: Miami or Fort Lauderdale
-
Houston: George Bush Intercontinental or Hobby
12. Special Travel Arrangements
If you're looking to extend your adventure or customize your travel itinerary with SideQuest World Tours, we can assist in tailoring your flights to better suit your travel preferences. Whether you wish to arrive earlier, stay longer, or explore additional destinations, we're here to help accommodate your needs within the constraints of airline availability.
-
Special Travel Requests: You can request modifications to your travel itinerary for a non-refundable service fee of $75, in addition to any extra costs charged by airlines. Such requests must be made no later than 99 days prior to your scheduled departure to ensure sufficient processing time.
-
Limitations: Requests to customize your travel must not result in arrival after your tour has begun or departure before its scheduled end. SideQuest does not provide tour director services or group activities during your additional travel time and does not arrange or recommend accommodations, transfers, or transportation.
-
Booking and Confirmation: You can make your Special Travel Arrangement requests through your online account. Once confirmed, your account will reflect your updated travel details. Should there be additional costs due to changes in your flight details, a SideQuest representative will contact you to discuss your options.
-
Conditions and Responsibilities:
-
SideQuest cannot guarantee specific airlines, flight times, or the availability of desired routings.
-
Changes to international gateways often incur additional costs, which are your responsibility.
-
If traveling with companions under different arrangements, you may not share the same itinerary.
-
Airport transfers are not included with Special Travel Arrangements; you are responsible for your transportation to and from airports.
-
-
Insurance Coverage: If you opt for a travel protection plan, please be aware that it may not cover the days included in your Special Travel Arrangements. Check your insurance details for coverage limitations.
-
Finalizing Arrangements: All Special Travel Arrangements are considered final at 99 days prior to departure. Any changes after this deadline are subject to airline penalties or fees, for which you will be responsible.
This tailored approach allows you to enhance your travel experience while maintaining flexibility and control over your itinerary. Please ensure that all arrangements are confirmed in alignment with the tour's scheduled activities to make the most of your SideQuest adventure.
13. Rooming and Upgrades
Standard Rooming: Included in the price of your tour, standard rooming accommodates up to ten travelers per room, based on gender (male or female). Travelers stay in individual beds, which may be twin, double, or bunk beds. Roommates are generally assigned randomly. If you have a roommate preference, you may submit a request upon enrollment or through your online account. We will make every effort to accommodate your request, but please understand that specific arrangements cannot be guaranteed.
Roommate Requests: You can request specific roommates up to 60 days prior to departure. Requests should be made through your online account, and while we strive to fulfill all roommate preferences, adjustments are subject to room availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Private Room Upgrades: For those seeking more privacy, we offer two private room upgrade options, subject to availability:
-
Shared Private Rooming: You may request to share a private room with a travel companion. This option is available where accommodations allow and must be requested for both travelers involved.
-
Single Room: For solo travelers, you can request a single room without roommates.
Both upgrade requests must be made no later than 60 days prior to departure via your online account. Please note that not all tours can accommodate private room requests due to the specific nature of some accommodations.
Upgrade Process and Fees: Upon submitting a private room upgrade request, it will be reflected in your account and the applicable charges will be added. If we cannot fulfill your upgrade request due to limited availability, a SideQuest representative will contact you to discuss alternatives. If an upgrade cannot be accommodated, any charges previously added for the upgrade will be removed from your account. Please be aware that upgrade costs are non-refundable if canceled less than 60 days before departure.
Special Considerations: For accommodations like overnight ferries or cruises, rooming configurations may include cabins with up to six fold-out beds. Note that private rooming upgrades and/or private bathrooms may not be available on these types of accommodations.
14. Optional Excursions
Enrollment Requirements: Each optional excursion offered by SideQuest World Tours requires a minimum number of participants to proceed. The specific minimum enrollment varies for each excursion and is subject to change based on demand and logistical capabilities.
Booking and Pricing: To take advantage of discounted rates and secure your spot, we highly recommend booking optional excursions at least 30 days prior to departure. Details on each excursion, including prices and booking deadlines, are available on our website. While most excursions can be purchased during your tour, they may be subject to a higher price.
Refund Policy: The cost for optional excursions is non-refundable if canceled less than 30 days before departure. Excursions purchased within 30 days of departure or while on the tour are immediately non-refundable upon payment. Should SideQuest need to cancel an excursion due to unforeseen circumstances while on tour, participants will receive a refund for the amount paid, which will be processed post-tour.
Additional Information: Please check our website regularly for the most up-to-date information on excursion pricing and enrollment deadlines. Be aware that changes to excursion offerings can occur based on local conditions and participant interest.
15. Miscellaneous
Refunds: Refunds, where applicable, will be processed either by re-crediting to the card used for the original payment or by mailing a check. Checks will be issued in the name that appears on the traveler's account and may take four to six weeks to process. Refunds will be issued only to the same payment method used for the original transaction and only up to the amount paid via that specific method. A non-refundable $35 stop-payment fee will be charged for lost refund checks.
Food Allergies: Please inform your SideQuest Trip Specialist and Tour Director of any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will communicate your needs to our suppliers, although we cannot guarantee that all dietary requests will be accommodated. Travelers are responsible for managing their own in-flight meal arrangements.
Prohibited Items: For the safety and well-being of all participants, firearms and other weapons are not permitted on any tour, except as required by law. This policy ensures a safe environment for all travelers and staff throughout the tour.
16. Payment Plan Conditions

-
For bi-weekly payments, select a weekday (Monday-Friday) for deductions. Note that due to weekends and holidays, payments may be processed up to three days after the scheduled date.
-
-
