Day 1 - Friday, February 13

• Arrive in Rio de Janeiro, the Marvelous City, throughout the day. Settle into your first accommodations and get to know the other members of our tour!

• You can relax, we won't have any plans until tonight's group dinner at my favorite local rodizio.

• We will toast to the great times coming and if you're ready for it, we'll go out to enjoy the first night of Carnival.

Day 2 - Saturday, Friday 14

• Morning: We'll start today with a relaxing walking tour around historic Rio to see iconic sites like the Selarón Steps, Lapa Arches, and Cinelândia Square as we meet this colorful city.

• Afternoon: This afternoon we are all invited to a favela tour with a local guide who will help us get a taste of Rio's resilient communities!

  • For lunch, you can take one of my recommendations or go out alone to enjoy yourself before this evening's magic.

• Evening: The real party begins tonight as we dive into our first Carnival Street Bloco! I hope you got some rest last night because it's about to be the first of many all-night parties!

Caipirinha Workshop and Samba Class ($35)

Join us for a fun workshop where you’ll learn the secrets to making caipirinhas, Brazil’s national cocktail. And before you finish up, you'll get a chance to join an amazing samba dance class held by a local instructor.

Day 3 - Sunday, Friday 15

• Morning: We'll start our day by riding to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain in a fully air-conditioned cable car.

• Afternoon: You'll have some free time this afternoon or feel free to take part in my suggested excursion below.

• Evening: The highlight of our trip may come tonight when we see the samba school parade at the grandiose Sambadrome! You'll get a chance to see artists, dancers, and floats competing for the top prize this year.

Hang Glide Pedra Bonita ($275)

Take off from the iconic Pedra Bonita, gliding above tomorrow's stop, the Tijuca Forest. This tandem hang-gliding experience offers unmatched views of Rio’s most famous landmarks and includes video services to add to your list of souvenirs!​

Sambadrome VIP Box ($475)

Our group tour includes general admissions to the Sambadrome. If you'd prefer VIP, you'll get to sit in front of the judges' booth (meaning the performers will be the most performative for you) and you get access to an open bar, full buffet, and additional shows just for the VIPs!

Day 4 - Monday, Friday 16

• Morning: This morning we'll head to the lush rainforest hidden in the heart of Rio, Tijuca. Our hike should be a refreshing change from the constant stimulation these last few days and it will take us to a serene, hidden waterfall.

• Afternoon: Free time to relax on Ipanema Beach, go souvenir shopping, or recharge after the past few days of non-stop parties.

• Early Evening: I would love for us to all get together, with our favorite foods so far from Rio, and enjoy a relaxing sunset picnic Arpoador Rock. I think some calm energy and good company will do our bodies some good to prepare for tomorrow's BIGGEST party!

• Late Evening 1 🌙: For most of you, I suggest hydrating and relaxing to be fully charged for tomorrow. It will be Mardi Gras Day, also known as Fat Tuesday, and this is the day when Carnival peaks.

• Late Evening 2 🎶: But for those of you who just can't wait to party again, I suggest heading to a casual bloco or local samba bar. I promise you'll regret anything that makes you too tired for tomorrow night!

Day 5 - Tuesday, Friday 17

• Morning: Good morning and welcome to Mardi Gras, the grand finale of Carnival!!! This morning, we'll fuel up with great food and delicious coffee because this will be a legendary evening! 

• Afternoon: We’ll dive right into the Rio’s biggest street parties. From Bloco da Sebastiana to Cordão do Boitatá, the city will be pulsing with samba, costumes, and pure joy. Stay away if you're scared of non-stop dancing, parades, or streets bursting with life!

• Evening: The later it gets, the more this party is going to ramp up so it's best to preserve some energy for sunset. We'll follow the flow of tonight's parties to the Sambadrome or back to some more iconic blocos as we celebrate this night of love and laughter under the amazing Brazilian sky!

Day 6 - Wednesday, Friday 18

• Morning and Afternoon: After all the craziness of these last few days, you've finally earned a well-deserved rest day! Sleep in, relax on the beach, get a massage; it's up to you! This is your day.

• Evening: This evening we'll gather for our farewell dinner at a traditional Brazilian churrascaria, sharing laughs and one last toast to this great adventure.

Day 7 - Thursday, Friday 19

• It's our final day together so hopefully, we can all still stand each other enough for one more group breakfast!

• We'll head to the airport together and go our separate ways as we each board our planes back home.

• I will make sure every one of you makes it on your plane home before I leave Brazil!
